Print WooCommerce shipping labels on a thermal printer (100×150)

In the Baltics, Finland, Poland and Czechia, WooCommerce shipping labels come from your carrier’s plugin, which turns an order into a label, usually a PDF. This guide shows which carrier plugins exist, where each one sets the label format, and how to print the result at 100×150 mm on a Zebra, TSC or Honeywell thermal printer.

Before you start

WooCommerce has its own label service, WooCommerce Shipping, but WooCommerce states it is available to stores based in the United States. Shops in our markets use the carrier’s plugin instead. These plugins send the order to the carrier and return the label, usually as a PDF that downloads or opens in a new browser tab.

Check the roll before you order labels: our 500-label roll has a 40 mm core and the 1,000-label eco roll a 76 mm core (the “40 g” and “76 g” in the product names). Compare the core and the roll diameter with your printer’s specification.

Install your carrier’s plugin

The table lists plugins published by the carrier or linked from the carrier’s own integration pages. Our carrier guides cover each carrier’s portal and label options in more detail.

Choose a single-label format in the plugin settings

A thermal printer needs one label per page. Set the plugin to its label-sized format before you create labels:

• Omniva: in the Omniva Shipping settings, Labels section, set Labels print type to “1 label per sheet”.
• InPost: go to InPost › Settings and, under Send options, set Parcel locker label format to A6.
• Venipak: set Label format to Sticker.
• DHL eCommerce Poland: in the “Ustawienia” (Settings) tab, section “Etykiety” (Labels), choose BLP.
• Packeta: under Packeta › Settings, set both label formats to “1/4 A4, direct print, 1pc/page”.
• Posti: check the label sizes in the plugin settings; Posti’s thermal formats are 107 mm wide, so see our Posti guide.
• DHL Express: choose 100×150 mm in the DHL Express Commerce print settings.

Where the documentation shows no format option, create one label and check the PDF page size. If it is A4, ask the carrier how to get labels in a label printer format.

Set the label size in the printer driver

Windows has to know the paper is 100×150 mm, otherwise labels come out small or cut off.

• Zebra: in the ZDesigner driver’s Printing preferences, set 100 mm wide and 150 mm high under Page Setup › Media Settings, and check that Printing mode under Print Options is Thermal Direct. See Print 100×150 mm shipping labels on Zebra printers.

Create and print the labels

Several plugins can create labels for many orders at once:

• Omniva: on the Orders page, choose the bulk action Print labels and click Apply.
• InPost: use the bulk actions on the Orders page, or select shipments under InPost › Shipments and click Get stickers.
• LP EXPRESS (Unisend): select the orders, choose “UNISEND Spausdinti lipdukus” (print labels) and click “Taikyti” (Apply).
• SmartPosti: click Print label in the Smartposti Shipments table, or select orders and use the bulk button above it.

Then print the PDF:

1. Open the PDF, choose Print and select your label printer. Check that the paper size shows 100×150 mm.
2. If the PDF page is exactly 100×150 mm (4×6 in), print at actual size (100 %).
3. For any other single-label page size, such as A6, choose Fit to page (the name varies by program).
4. Never shrink an A4 or A5 sheet with several labels onto one label: the barcodes become too small to scan. Switch the plugin to its single-label format instead.
5. Print one label and scan its barcodes before printing the batch.
