The Zebra RS5000x is a corded 1D/2D ring scanner for Zebra's WT6000, WT6300 and WT6400 wearable computers. Worn on one finger and triggered with the thumb, it leaves both hands free for picking, packing and handling goods, while the high-performance SE4770 imager with PRZM Intelligent Imaging reads virtually any 1D or 2D barcode – even scratched, dirty, under shrink-wrap or covered in frost – from near contact to about 0.9 m. Simply plug the integrated short cable into a wrist-worn Zebra wearable computer: the terminal powers the scanner, so there is no battery to charge and no pairing. This version, RS5000X-TCFSXWR, comes with the freezer trigger – a larger trigger pad and a finger perch with a glove-sized strap for a secure fit over thick freezer gloves. Please note that the RS5000x is not a stand-alone USB scanner – the wearable computer is required and is sold separately.
📦 What's in the box – RS5000X-TCFSXWR
- ✅ Zebra RS5000x ring scanner – SE4770 1D/2D imager, swivels for left- or right-hand use
- ✅ Short interface cable – integrated (permanently attached), with connector for the WT6000 / WT6300 / WT6400 wearable computer (for wrist-mounted use)
- ✅ Freezer trigger with freezer-glove finger strap – fitted on the scanner, large trigger pad and finger perch for use over thick gloves, metal quick-adjust cam buckle
- ❌ Wearable computer (Zebra WT6000 / WT6300 / WT6400) – NOT included
- ❌ Wrist mount for the wearable computer – NOT included
⚠️ Please note: the RS5000x is not a USB or Bluetooth scanner. Its cable plugs only into a Zebra WT6300, WT6400 or WT6000 wearable computer, which powers the scanner (no battery or charger needed) and receives the scanned data – it cannot be connected directly to a PC, POS system, tablet, smartphone or any other mobile computer. As this is the short-cable version, the terminal is worn on the wrist – add a wrist mount for your terminal, e.g. the wrist mount SG-NGWT-WRMTL-02 for WT6000/WT6300.
💡 Triggers and straps are field-replaceable in minutes: keep spare freezer-trigger straps SG-RS50X-STRPX-01 in stock for heavy use, or add the standard trigger SG-RS50X-TRGS-01 for workers who scan without thick gloves.

Key Features
- Truly hands-free scanning – the ring scanner is worn on a single finger of either hand, so workers keep both hands and their eyes on the goods instead of reaching for a handheld scanner.
- Ready for the rise of 2D barcodes – the SE4770 engine reads 1D and information-rich 2D codes (Data Matrix, QR, PDF417, GS1 DataBar) as well as OCR-A/B, ready for track-and-trace requirements such as food-safety and pharmaceutical serialisation rules.
- Reads virtually any barcode – Zebra PRZM Intelligent Imaging captures printed and on-screen barcodes, even scratched, dirty or poorly printed codes and labels under shrink-wrap or frost.
- Fast and motion-tolerant – exceptional motion tolerance delivers split-second reads even when items or workers are on the move, from near contact to about 0.9 m (20 mil Code 39).
- Easy, accurate aiming – a bright red laser cross-hair aimer stays crisp across the whole range, and a two-colour red/green LED confirms every read.
- Freezer trigger for heavy gloves – a specialised finger perch gives a secure, comfortable fit over thick freezer gloves without slipping or rotating and helps maintain blood circulation in the finger, while the larger trigger pad prevents misfires.
- Perfect fit in seconds – the durable nylon finger strap with metal quick-adjust cam buckle fits any finger without training and resists wear far better than hook-and-loop fasteners.
- Ambidextrous – the swivel feature lets workers switch between left- and right-hand use on the fly, so there is no need to buy separate left- and right-hand assemblies.
- Built for the cold chain – operates from −30 °C to +50 °C, survives multiple 1.2 m drops to concrete across the entire temperature range and 1,000 tumbles, and IP65 sealing withstands high-pressure hose-downs.
- Simplicity of corded operation – plug it into the wearable computer and it powers up instantly: no pairing, and no scanner batteries or chargers to buy and manage.
- Field-replaceable triggers and straps – standard and freezer triggers and straps can be swapped on site, minimising downtime and trips to the service depot.
- Easy to manage – works with DataWedge and can be managed with your EMM/MDM via Zebra Mx and OEMConfig; firmware is updated through the wearable computer.
Ideal Applications
- Warehouse order picking, put-away and replenishment with WT6000, WT6300 or WT6400 wearable computers
- Cold stores and freezer warehouses – grocery, food and pharmaceutical cold chains
- Distribution centres – receiving, cross-docking and trailer loading and unloading
- Manufacturing – work in process, quality control, in-house equipment service and asset tracking
- Retail backrooms – receiving, returns processing, price management, inventory and order fulfilment
