NewLand FM100 Stationary CCD Scanner (NLS-FM100GD-18)

The Newland FM100 is a tiny fixed-mount 1D CCD scanner designed for OEM integration into kiosks, ticketing machines, vending and reverse vending machines, access gates and other self-service equipment. Measuring just 49 × 37 × 26 mm and weighing 70 g, it fits where larger scanners can't, while its 2500-pixel CCD sensor and red LED illumination read all common 1D barcodes at up to 300 scans per second. Sensor, interval, continuous and command-triggered scan modes, IP54 protection against dust and splashing water and a dual USB/RS-232 interface make integration straightforward. Newland covers it with a 5-year (60-month) warranty. This version, NLS-FM100GD-18, is supplied with a 1.8 m direct USB cable – for a host further away, e.g. a PC under the counter; USB-powered, no power supply needed.

• Fast 1D scanning – a 2500-pixel CCD sensor with red LED illumination (622–628 nm) performs up to 300 scans per second and reads all common 1D symbologies, including EAN/UPC, Code 128, GS1-128, Code 39, Code 93, Interleaved 2 of 5, Codabar and GS1 DataBar.
• Flexible scan modes – in sensor mode, reading starts automatically as soon as a barcode is presented; interval, continuous, delayed sensor and command-triggered modes let the host machine control exactly when the scanner reads.
• Wide scan angles – tolerates large reading angles (pitch ±65°, skew ±60°, roll ±30°), and the 40° field of view and 30% minimum print contrast mean tickets and receipts don't have to be presented perfectly.
• IP54 and bright-light proof – protected against dust and splashing water and immune to ambient light up to 100,000 lux, so it also works in semi-open machines and sunny entrances.
• Dual interface, easy setup – USB (HID keyboard emulation, USB COM port emulation) or RS-232; configure it with Newland EasySet or programming barcodes, JPOS/OPOS drivers available; developed and manufactured in-house by Newland and backed by a 5-year warranty.

All four versions are the same FM100 scanner – they differ only in the included cable: NLS-FM100GD-00 with a 0.5 m direct USB cable and NLS-FM100GD-18 with a 1.8 m direct USB cable, NLS-FM100GD-U with a 2 m USB extension cable (all three USB-powered), and NLS-FM100GD-RC with a 2 m RS-232 extension cable and a 5 V power adapter for serial connections.
