Newland FM431 Barracuda PRO Fixed Mount Scanner (NLS-FM431-SR-RC)

The Newland FM431 Barracuda PRO is the high-performance successor of the FM430 Barracuda: the same compact fixed-mount module (41.5 × 49.5 × 24.3 mm, only 56 g) – so it drops straight into existing FM430 installations – with a faster engine for high-speed scanning. Its megapixel camera (1280 × 800) reads all major 1D and 2D barcodes from labels, paper and smartphone screens with high motion tolerance and at distances of up to 460 mm (EAN-13), making it ideal for conveyors, vending machines, robots and fixed POS installations. Dual aiming combines a precise red laser with a green LED that lights up the code to confirm a good read, and advanced exposure control copes with bright sunlight and reflections. IP54 sealing, a 1.5 m drop rating and a 5-year Newland warranty. This version, NLS-FM431-SR-RC (Standard Range engine – SR), is the RS-232 kit: it is supplied with a 2 m RS-232 cable with power jack and a 5 V power adapter with interchangeable EU/UK/US plugs – everything needed for a serial connection.

• Fast communication, easy integration – faster data exchange with the host; USB (HID keyboard, USB CDC, HID-POS, IBM SurePOS) or RS-232 via the detachable cable on the RJ50 data port; EasySet, Advanced Scripting and a 5-year Newland warranty.
