The ET60 and ET65 are the same 10.1-inch rugged Android tablet. The only difference Zebra lists is the mobile network: the ET60 works over Wi-Fi only, while the ET65 adds 5G/LTE mobile data and satellite positioning. If your tablets stay inside a building or yard with good Wi-Fi, the ET60 does the job; if they travel in vehicles or work outside Wi-Fi coverage, choose the ET65.

    Choose the ET60 if
    • The tablets work inside warehouses, plants or yards with reliable Wi-Fi
    • You don't need positioning or a mobile data contract per device
    • You mount tablets on forklifts that stay on site
    Choose the ET65 if
    • Staff work in the field, in delivery vehicles or at sites without your Wi-Fi
    • Your apps need location data, for example for routing or proof of service
    • You run a private LTE or 5G network
    • You want a backup connection when Wi-Fi drops

    What is the same

Everything except the mobile radio is shared. Zebra's ET6 Series accessory guide has one list for both: the same batteries, USB-C to AC adapter, 2-slot battery charger, vehicle docks, 2-in-1 keyboard and kickstand. Setup, scanning with DataWedge, the charging lights and the resets work the same way; the ET60/ET65 setup guide and troubleshooting guide cover both.

The ET65's mobile connection is for data only. For voice, use an app such as push-to-talk over Wi-Fi or mobile data.

    Configurations and Windows models

Both tablets come with or without the SE55 imager, with a standard, extended or no battery, and Zebra's accessory guide also refers to an ET60 version with a heated touchscreen for freezers. Check the scanner, battery and touchscreen of our ET60 (ET60AW-0HQAGN00A0-A6) and ET65 (ET65AW-ESQAGSK0A0-A6) on their product pages before you order.

Zebra also sells Windows versions, the ET60W and ET65W, with Intel processors, their own spec sheet and their own batteries. This comparison covers the Android models only. Compare more tablets in our ET40 vs ET401 guide, or see all ET60 and ET65 guides.
