The Zebra DS8178 is Zebra's premium cordless 2D barcode scanner for retail and healthcare — the fastest reader in the DS8000 family. It captures 1D and 2D codes almost instantly, including damaged, dirty and low-contrast labels and codes shown on a customer's phone screen, which keeps queues moving at busy checkouts. A dedicated healthcare version with disinfectant-ready housing is available for hospitals, pharmacies and labs.
