The Brother TD-4650TNWB is a 4-inch thermal transfer desktop label printer for manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, laboratories and retail – wherever labels have to stay legible for a long time. With a ribbon it prints durable, smudge-resistant labels on paper and synthetic materials, and without a ribbon it also prints on direct thermal labels. It prints 203 dpi labels up to 108 mm wide at up to 203 mm/s (8 ips), takes 300 m ribbons and label rolls up to 127 mm in diameter and connects via USB, USB host, RS-232C serial, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as standard, while FBPL-EZD (ZPL2, EPL2 and DPL compatible) makes it easy to replace existing printers. This version, TD4650TNWBZ1, is the 203 dpi model with a 2.3-inch colour LCD and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth – and the fastest model in the series at up to 203 mm/s (8 ips).

  • Thermal transfer with 300 m ribbons – wax, wax/resin or resin ribbons 40–110 mm wide on a 1-inch core (ink side out) for durable labels on paper and synthetic materials, with fewer ribbon changes; direct thermal labels work too.
  • 203 dpi at up to 203 mm/s (8 ips) – the fastest TD-4T model, with a 108 mm print width and labels up to 25.4 m long.
  • Flexible media handling – media 20–112 mm wide and 0.06–0.19 mm thick: continuous, die-cut, black-mark, notched, punched-hole and fan-fold, on rolls up to 127 mm on 25.4 or 38.1 mm cores, with a gap sensor and a movable black-mark sensor.
  • 2.3-inch colour LCD – status, settings and menus on a colour display with button navigation and a tri-colour status LED.
  • Wireless as standard – Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n with enterprise security such as EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS and PEAP) and Bluetooth 5.0 (Classic and Low Energy), alongside USB 2.0, RS-232C serial, 10/100 Ethernet and a USB host port for a keyboard, scanner or USB flash drive.
  • Drop-in replacement – FBPL-EZD emulates ZPL2, EPL2 and DPL and FBPL-EZS supports SBPL, so existing label formats keep working; 8 bitmap fonts and a TrueType font engine are built in.
  • Ready to grow – dealer-installed label cutter for full and partial cuts (PA-CU-003) and label peeler (PA-LP-004), plus a user-installable external roll holder (PA-RH-001) for rolls up to 203.2 mm on 76.2 mm cores.
