Datalogic PowerScan PM9100 Barcode Scanner (PM9100-433RBK10)

The Datalogic PowerScan PM9100 is a rugged cordless 1D barcode scanner from Datalogic's PowerScan 9100 series, built for manufacturing, warehouses and logistics. Its linear imager projects a bright, laser-like green scanning line and reads all common 1D barcodes down to 2.5 mil – standard EAN-13 codes from 2 to 61 cm and large 40 mil labels from up to 2.3 m. The scanner talks to its base station over the Datalogic STAR Cordless System™ – a two-way 433 MHz narrow-band radio with a range of up to 100 m in open air that does not interfere with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth networks. A removable Li-ion battery lasts for 50,000+ reads per charge, the housing is sealed to IP65 and survives 50 drops from 2.0 m onto concrete, and the scanner comes with a 3-year Datalogic warranty. Please note: the PM9100 reads 1D (linear) barcodes only – not QR codes, Data Matrix or other 2D codes.

The PM9100-433RBK10 is the basic model without a display – a straightforward trigger-only scanner. It uses the 433 MHz STAR radio – the version for Europe and most countries outside North America. It is supplied as a complete USB kit with the BC9030 base station/charger, a 2 m USB cable and a power supply – ready to connect and scan.

• Reads all common 1D barcodes – EAN/UPC (incl. add-ons and coupons), ISBN, Code 128 / GS1-128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, GS1 DataBar, Codabar, Code 93 and more, plus the stacked Codablock F – down to 2.5 mil and from 15% print contrast.
• Wide working range – standard EAN-13 codes from 2 to 61 cm, 10 mil Code 39 up to 66 cm and large 40 mil labels up to 2.3 m, with generous reading angles (pitch ±75°, roll ±45°, skew ±70°).
• 1D only – please check your barcodes – the PM9100 does not read QR codes, Data Matrix, PDF417 or other 2D codes. If you need them, choose the PowerScan PM9600 cordless 2D imager.
• User-replaceable battery – the removable Li-ion battery lasts for 50,000+ reads per charge (continuous reading) and recharges in the base in about 4 hours with the external power supply; spare batteries and a 4-slot charger keep multi-shift operations running.
• Clear good-read feedback – Datalogic 3GL™ (Three Green Lights), the Green Spot projected onto the code, dual good-read LEDs and a loud beeper confirm every read, even in noisy halls.
• Built for industry – IP65 sealing against dust and water jets, 50 drops from 2.0 m onto concrete, 20 kV ESD protection and an operating range of −20 °C to 50 °C.
• Flexible base stations – the kits include the BC9030 base/charger; the BC9130 adds a spare-battery charging slot, the BC9160 adds RS-485 and the BC9180 connects to standard or industrial Ethernet (EtherNet/IP, Modbus); the SD9030 USB dongle is an alternative radio receiver. How to read the part numbers: -D models have a display with 4 keys and -DK models a display with a 16-key keypad; 433 is the radio frequency (433 MHz for Europe – 910 MHz versions for North America are available on request); RB means the removable battery is included. Versions ending in K10 are USB kits and versions ending in K20 RS-232 kits, both with the BC9030 base station, a power supply and an EU power cord; versions without a K suffix are the scanner only.
