The Honeywell Granit Ultra 2100i is an ultra-rugged corded 2D handheld scanner for warehouses, manufacturing plants, cold storage and logistics yards. Thanks to Honeywell's AI-enhanced decoding it scans on average 45% faster than the Granit XP, reads damaged and poor-quality 1D and 2D barcodes, survives 3 m drops to concrete and 7,500 tumbles, and is sealed to IP65 and IP68. The scanner is backed by a 3-year (36-month) Honeywell warranty. This version, 2100IHD-3E, has High Density (HD) optics (for tiny, high-density 1D and 2D codes down to 2 mil) and is supplied as the scanner only – an interface cable is not included.
📦 What's in the box – 2100IHD-3E
- ✅ Honeywell Granit Ultra 2100i scanner – High Density (HD), Red / black
- ❌ Interface cable – NOT included
- ❌ Stand / holder – not included
⚠️ Please note: this version does not include a cable. The scanner cannot be connected to a computer, terminal or POS system without one, so please order an interface cable separately – for most setups the Honeywell USB cable CBL-500-300-S00 is the right choice (the same cable as in the Granit Ultra 2100i USB kits). For a serial connection choose the coiled RS232 cable CBL-020-300-C00; for freezers and cold stores choose the industrial-grade USB cable CBL-500-300-S00-01. Alternatively, choose a version that already includes a cable (see the comparison table below).
💡 Need a place for the scanner? Add the Honeywell flexible stand STND-33F00-012-4 for hands-free scanning, the holder HOLDER-010-U for desk or wall mounting, the tool balancer TOOLBAL to suspend the scanner above a workstation, or the vehicle-mount holder VMHOLDER2K for forklifts and other vehicles.
Key Features
- Ultra-rugged design – survives 3 m (10 ft) drops to concrete (MIL-STD-810G), 50 drops from 2 m across the full −30 °C to 50 °C range and 7,500 tumbles from 1 m; the trigger is tested to 3 million activations.
- IP65 and IP68 sealing – dust-tight and protected against water jets and immersion, so the scanner can be cleaned and used in wet and dusty environments.
- High Density (HD) optics – made for tiny, densely printed labels: reads 1D and 2D codes as small as 2 mil (2 mil Code 39 at up to 72 mm, 5 mil Data Matrix at up to 84 mm) – ideal for electronics and small components.
- 45% faster scanning with AI – high-speed processing, AI algorithms and decoding enhancements make Granit Ultra on average 45% faster than the Granit XP (Honeywell benchmark), even on damaged, dirty and poorly printed barcodes.
- Works from −30 °C to 50 °C – in freezers, cold stores, outdoor docks and hot production halls (for freezer use we recommend an industrial-grade cable).
- Multi-code reading and image capture – reads several barcodes in the field of view and outputs the data in a predefined order with Honeywell's Data Format Editor; captures document images at up to 109 PPI on A4.
- Reads virtually every code – 1D, PDF417, 2D (incl. DotCode, Aztec, Data Matrix and QR), postal codes, Digimarc digital watermarks and OCR (OCR-A, OCR-B, MICR E-13B, SEMI).
- Fast, intuitive scanning with clear feedback – motion tolerance of up to 4 m/s, omnidirectional reading, good-decode LEDs, a beeper with adjustable tone and volume, and adjustable vibration for noisy environments.
- Flexible connectivity and easy management – USB, keyboard wedge and RS-232 TTL depending on the cable used (standard Honeywell CBL-500 USB and CBL-020 RS232 cables); configure and update scanners with EZConfig and Honeywell Scanner Management Utility (SMU).
Ideal Applications
- Warehouses and distribution centres – receiving, put-away, picking, inventory and shipping
- Manufacturing and automotive – work-in-process, parts tracking and quality control
- Electronics manufacturing – tiny high-density labels on PCBs and components (HD version)
- Cold storage and food processing – freezer rooms and wash-down areas (with an industrial-grade cable)
- Logistics yards, ports and outdoor areas – scanning in dust, rain and snow
- Forklift and high-bay scanning – reading labels on the upper rack levels (XR and XLR versions)
