Newland FM3080 Hind Stationary Scanner (NLS-FM3080V2-28)

The Newland FM3080 Hind is a compact fixed-mount 2D scanner for building into self-service terminals, kiosks, access gates and checkout counters. Powered by Newland's sixth-generation UIMG® technology and a CPU-based decoder, it reads all major 1D and 2D barcodes in an instant – from paper and labels as well as from smartphone screens, including codes that contain a large amount of data. The 50 × 50 mm scan window can light up in up to 4 colours with every scan, IR and light sensors start scanning automatically as soon as a code is presented, and IP65 sealing makes it resistant to water and dust – even in outdoor kiosks. Newland covers it with a 5-year (60-month) warranty. This version, NLS-FM3080V2-28, is the RS-232 kit: it is supplied with an RS-232 cable with power jack and a 5 V power adapter with interchangeable EU/UK/US plugs – everything needed for a serial connection.

• Small form factor – at 78.7 × 67.7 × 47.5 mm it is the smallest scanner of the FM30 series and takes up minimal space in a kiosk or at the POS, while the 50 × 50 mm scan window and 74° field of view make codes easy to present.
• IR and light sensors – the combination of an infrared sensor and a light sensor activates the scanner reliably as soon as a code is presented (sense mode); continuous mode is also available.
• IP65 sealing – dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it is also suitable for outdoor kiosks, parking terminals and access gates.
• Dual interface, easy integration – USB (HID keyboard, USB CDC virtual COM, HID-POS, IBM SurePOS) or RS-232 via the detachable cable on the RJ50 data port; EasySet configuration tool and a 5-year Newland warranty.
