Newland HR11 Aringa Wired Barcode Scanner (NLS-HR1150P-30F)

The Newland HR11 Aringa is a compact, ergonomic corded 1D barcode scanner that delivers dependable scanning performance at an affordable price. Its 2500-pixel linear imager and Newland's NLDC decoder chip quickly read 1D barcodes printed on paper or shown on phone screens, at distances of up to 48 cm. One scanner supports both USB and RS-232 – the interface is set by the cable – and it is backed by a 5-year warranty. This version, NLS-HR1150P-30F, is the USB kit with stand: it is supplied with a 2 m USB cable and a foldable smart stand for hands-free scanning.

Key Features

• 1D linear imager – a 2500-pixel linear imager reads all major 1D barcodes, including EAN/UPC, Code 128, GS1-128 and GS1 DataBar, with resolution down to 3 mil. Please note: it does not read 2D codes such as QR codes or Data Matrix.
• Reads from paper and screens – Newland's NLDC decoder chip is optimised for fast scanning of 1D barcodes printed on paper or displayed on phone and tablet screens – ideal for mobile coupons, loyalty cards and O2O (online-to-offline) retail.
• Wide scan line – a 53° field of view and a reading distance of 4–48 cm on 13 mil EAN-13 codes make wide barcodes easy to capture, with generous reading angles (pitch ±60°, skew ±70°).
• Ergonomic and lightweight – the compact 120 g design is comfortable to hold, even during intensive, all-day scanning.
• Dual interface – USB and RS-232 in one scanner; the interface is selected by the cable, and setup is quick with Newland's EasySet configuration tool.
• Hands-free option – the foldable smart stand with auto-sense (included with the -30F and -37F kits) lets you switch quickly between handheld and hands-free scanning.
• Durable, with a 5-year warranty – IP42 sealed, withstands 1.5 m drops and operates from −20 °C to 60 °C; backed by a 5-year warranty.

Not sure which version you need? For a PC or POS with a USB port, choose the USB kit (NLS-HR1150P-30) – or the NLS-HR1150P-30F if you also want the foldable smart stand for hands-free scanning. For a serial RS-232 connection, the NLS-HR1150P-38 includes both the RS-232 cable and the power supply, while for the NLS-HR1150P-37 and -37F kits a 5 V power supply has to be ordered separately.
