Zebra RFD40 RFID Barcode Scanner (RFD4031-G00B700-E8)

The Zebra RFD40 is a UHF RFID sled that snaps onto a Zebra mobile computer and turns it into a powerful RAIN RFID reader: more than 1,300 tag reads per second, a nominal read range of 6+ metres and an ultra-accurate item-finder mode – ideal for cycle counting, inventory and asset location. It connects through Zebra's eConnex™ interface and has its own quick-release 7000 mAh battery, so it does not drain the mobile computer. This version, RFD4031-G00B700-E8, is the RFD40 Premium (with Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 in addition to eConnex; barcodes are scanned with the mobile computer's own scanner) and works in the European 865–868 MHz UHF band (EU version).

• Flexible charging – each cradle cup charges the sled, the mobile computer or both together; 1-slot USB and multi-slot Ethernet communication cradles let you configure sleds and push firmware updates while they charge.
• Built for daily use – multiple 1.5 m drops to concrete, 500 tumble cycles, IP54 sealing against dust and water, and an operating range of −10 °C to 50 °C.
• Easy integration – Zebra RFID SDKs are based on the existing Zebra RFID handheld SDKs (only a recompile is needed), and 123RFID Desktop lets you configure sleds and update firmware via USB.

Standard is the economical choice for eConnex-enabled Zebra mobile computers; Premium adds Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for devices without eConnex and for remote management; Premium Plus also scans barcodes with its own SE4100 imager.
