Datalogic PowerScan PBT9600 DPX Barcode Scanner (PBT9600-DPXRBK10EU)

The Datalogic PowerScan PBT9600 DPX is the cordless Bluetooth® direct part marking (DPM) model of Datalogic's rugged PowerScan 9600 series, built for traceability in manufacturing. It reads codes marked directly on metal and plastic parts as well as printed 1D and 2D labels, and its Bluetooth® 5.0 radio (Class 1, up to 100 m in open air) links it to a PowerScan 9600 Bluetooth base station or directly to any Bluetooth-enabled PC, tablet or mobile computer. It charges wirelessly (inductively) in the base, so there are no charging contacts to wear out. A removable 3350 mAh battery lasts for more than 80,000 reads per charge, the scanner withstands 50 drops from 2.5 m, is sealed to IP65 and IP67 and comes with a 3-year Datalogic warranty. This version, PBT9600-DPXRBK10EU, has DPX direct part marking (DPM) optics – white, red and blue illumination for laser-etched, dot-peened, inkjet-printed and electrochemically etched marks on metal and plastic parts.

It is the model without a display – a straightforward trigger-only scanner. It is supplied as a complete USB kit with the BC9630-BT base station/charger, a 2 m USB cable and a power supply (EU power cord) – ready to connect and scan.

• Clear good-read feedback – Datalogic 3GL™ (Three Green Lights), the Green Spot projected onto the code, a loud adjustable beeper and vibration confirm every read, even in noisy environments.
• Modular base station – the BC9600-series base/charger takes plug-in connection modules for USB and RS-232 (CM9630/CM9631) or Ethernet, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET (CM9680/CM9681); free Datalogic Aladdin configuration tool, OPOS/JavaPOS utilities and EASEOFCARE service plans.

Technical Specifications

How to read the part numbers: DPX stands for the DPX direct part marking optics; R/RB means the removable battery is included. Versions ending in K10 are USB kits and versions ending in K20 RS-232 kits with the BC9630-BT base station and a power supply, K30 is the Ethernet kit with the BC9680-BT base station and a power supply; the final EU gives the power cord supplied (US versions are available on request), and the version without a K suffix is the scanner only.
